Our WinesThe European-styled terraced terrain of the DelFosse Winery provides unique wine-growing conditions. Our team of viticulturists and winemakers approach the challenges of the terrain with creativity, experience and passion. The DelFosse Winery currently has eleven varietals planted: Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Chambourcin. Most of these wines are aged in French oak barrels, though the Viognier and Petit Manseng are aged in stainless steel to preserve the aromatic flavors of the grape.

Nose – Classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas with fresh cut grass and lemon peel. Bright and fresh aromas of melon, lime and spring flowers.
Taste – Well structured, with a tangy acidity and grapefruit notes. This is made in the old world style with crispness and vibrancy. The weight on the palate is exceptional for this variety, with abundant citrus and texture. There are some nice earthy notes, minerality and lovely acidity. The wine finishes crisp with great balance.
Food Pairing – Ideal for immediate consumption and a great match for shellfish and seafood.

The finish is very crisp and clean.Food Pairing – This wine shows classic Chardonnay character and will pair well with grilled poultry or light fish.

Nose – This wine exhibits rich toasted oak with baked apples and pears .
Taste – Butterscotch flavors are backed by a nice depth and intensity of flavors . The apple remains consistent throughout and there is a good balance of acidity on the finish.
Food Pairing – Great for heavier poultry and creamy sea food dishes.

Nose – The aromatics are concentrated with white flowers, peach and apricots, as well as floral notes that liven up the nose. This is a dense wine with many layers of aromatic flavors and a hint of sweetness.
Taste – Round and soft with hints of candied peach, grapefruit and dried apricot match nicely with the acidity. Very expansive on the palate, with a lingering finish that makes for a very heavy weighted wine with a lot of length. This is a wine that expresses the nature of the Viognier grape with its power and intensity.
Food Pairing – A perfect wine for shellfish, lobster, crab or richer seafood dishes.

Nose – A intensely aromatic wine with bright hints of fresh cut grass and lemon peel. Taste – This complex blend of Petit Manseng with a touch of Viognier, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc shows bright acidity with rich citrus, and spice up front, and lemon on the finish. This elegant, well balanced wine exhibits a long finish with a bouquet of pineapple, peach, coconut and apricot well integrated with soft oak. A great example of a blend that expresses the Virginia terroir. Food Pairing – A great wine with seafood and shellfish. This wine is extremely food friendly and will also pair well with lobster and poultry in richer and creamier sauces or with pork and turkey dishes.

Food Pairing – A great summer wine for picnic and lighter fare. A good match for salmon. A drink now style. Drink cold with your favorite light fare. A great match for picnics, hamburgers and light pork dishes. Also pairs well with creamy vegetable soups.

Nose – Bright cherry and raspberry jump out of the glass.
Taste – An easy going style with a light structure and with very rich and slightly sweet finish. Soft and approachable on the palate with a hint of spice on the finish makes this wine a pleasing summer quaffer. This wine can be served cold. It does not have a lot of tannins. RS 3.2%
Food Pairing – This very approachable wine pairs well with many different foods. Ideal for meats, cheeses, hamburgers, pizzas and pasta.

The wine has great length and mid-palate intensity that will allow it to age nicely for 5-7 years. Food Pairing – Will pair well with heavier meats and game.

The wine is very floral with dense fruit flavors and soft round tannins which make it a great companion for most types of cuisine.
Nose – The intensely concentrated aromas of black cherry, lavender, earth, blackberry and sweet toast are complex and pleasing. They offer an enticing entree to what is a one of the best wines of the vintage.
Taste – The flavors are just as concentrated, packed with dark fruits, tar, licorice and a hint of toast. The tannins are mature, but responsible for adding structure and balance to the fruit. Hints of leather and spice make this a very balanced and complex wine. This is a complete wine that offers fruit, depth and structure.
Food Pairing – A great match for grilled meats, game and strong cheese, this is a wine that can be enjoyed now and over the next five years.

Will be best after several years of aging. There are some nice earthy notes, minerality and lovely acidity. The wine finishes crisp with great balance.
