A blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 7 months in neutral French oak barrels.
Bottled in December 2010. Released in April 2011.
Nose – Fresh strawberry notes and rose petal aromas. Nicely balanced with some texture and acidity.
Taste – Earthy and crisp with good balance and weight with nice acidity and a touch of rhubarb and cherry on the finish.
Food Pairing – A great summer wine for picnic and lighter fare. A good match for salmon. A drink now style. Drink cold with your favorite light fare. A great match for picnics, hamburgers and light pork dishes. Also pairs well with creamy vegetable soups.
